Mayor Mahesh conducted a surprise inspection at Anna Bus Stand in Nagercoil today. The toilet for the depot staff at the bus station was in poor condition. He instructed the authorities to rectify this. Mayor Mahesh also asked the depot staff to maintain the toilet regularly.
Later he visited the ongoing maintenance work at the bus station at a cost of Rs.2 crore. He inspected the seats and floors arranged there. Following this, he visited the newly constructed toilet. Due to the rain, the roads in Chettikulam and Saveriar temple junction were in bad condition and potholed. Mayor Mahesh, who visited the place in person and inspected it, advised to repair it immediately.
Commissioner Ananda Mohan, Engineer Balasubramanian, Councilor Rosita and administrators were present during the inspection. A tree in the rotoram in Peruvila Christopher Colony under Ward 4 of Nagercoil Corporation was broken due to rain and was leaning on the compound wall of the house. After hearing about this, Mayor Mahesh went there and visited. He immediately instructed the authorities to cut the tree and dispose of it. He also directed the corporation officials to repair the damaged road in Rajalakshmi Nagar area.
