In a recent statement, US Congressman Rich McCormick lauded India’s burgeoning international influence and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s active engagement, stressing the importance of cautious diplomacy amidst the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Addressing the media on India’s intervention in the war, Congressman McCormick expressed admiration for Prime Minister Modi’s international involvement and highlighted India’s rapidly growing economy.

“India is just getting started, and Prime Minister Modi is engaged internationally,” remarked McCormick. “With one of the fastest-growing economies globally, India is poised to compete with China and eventually the United States, depending upon the trajectory of the US economy.”

McCormick underscored India’s significance in the context of Russia, noting that India stands as the largest energy consumer for Russia, providing the nation with considerable leverage. He emphasized the necessity of ensuring that actions are taken in the best interests of all parties involved, cautioning that leverage is only effective when utilized judiciously.

Commenting on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s tactics, McCormick cautioned against succumbing to intimidation tactics, particularly in light of nuclear threats. He stressed the importance of moving away from the notion of assured mutual destruction and advocated for a more constructive approach to global diplomacy.

The remarks from Congressman McCormick come amidst escalating tensions in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, with the international community closely monitoring developments and engaging in diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has uncovered a social media racket luring individuals, with reports suggesting its connection to recent incidents involving Indians deceived into traveling to Russia, resulting in casualties. The CBI disclosed that the network spans across multiple states, with approximately 35 victims identified thus far.

The tragic events underscore the complexities of the ongoing conflict and the need for vigilance against exploitation and misinformation in the digital realm.
