Trichy: Southern Railway will operate one-way special train to Tambaram from Kanyakumari on May 1, to clear the extra rush.
Train No. 06052 will leave Kanyakumari at 7.10pm on May 1 and reach Tambaram at 9.20am the next day.
The train will stop at Nagercoil, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Trichy, Ariyalur, Vriddhachalam, Villupuram, Melmaruvathur and Chengalpattu.
Advance reservations for the special train is open.
Meanwhile, Southern Railway has notified the extension of Hubballi – Thanjavur – Hubbali weekly special for five more weeks. The Hubbali – Thanjavur train leaves Hubbali at 8.25pm on May 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 (Mondays) and reaches Thanjavur at 2.15pm the next day.
Similarly, the Thanjavur – Hubbali special leaving Thanjavur at 7.40pm on Tuesdays and reaching Hubbali at 12.30am the next day will be extended to run on May 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Advance reservation for the train is open.
